If you're looking for a refreshing way to spend time outdoors this summer, Warner Parks has a full calendar of nature programs that make it easy to explore one of Nashville's most treasured green spaces.

Throughout July, the Warner Park Nature Center is hosting a variety of guided experiences designed to help visitors connect with Middle Tennessee's wildlife, forests, and streams. Whether you're an experienced naturalist or simply looking for a relaxing outing, there's something for nearly everyone.

Among the month's featured activities are guided Creek Crawls, where participants can discover aquatic insects, crayfish, and other fascinating creatures that call the park's streams home. Evening programs include Moth Watch, giving visitors a chance to observe colorful native moths and other nighttime wildlife that often go unnoticed.

For those who enjoy quieter experiences, the Nature Center also offers guided birding opportunities and educational walks that highlight native plants, wildflowers, and the diverse ecosystems found throughout Edwin and Percy Warner Parks. Several programs are designed specifically for adults, while others welcome families with children, making the parks an excellent destination for multiple generations to enjoy together.

Warner Parks encompasses more than 3,000 acres of forests, hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and historic landmarks, providing countless opportunities to enjoy nature beyond the scheduled programs. Visitors can choose from miles of walking and hiking trails, picnic areas, and peaceful places to simply slow down and appreciate the outdoors.

Many of the July programs require advance registration, and some have limited attendance to ensure a quality experience. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and dress appropriately for summer weather.

Whether you're hoping to learn something new, introduce grandchildren to the wonders of nature, or simply spend a few relaxing hours outdoors, Warner Parks continues to offer some of the best opportunities in Middle Tennessee to experience the natural beauty that surrounds Nashville.
