The Tennessee Titans finally have a victory to celebrate, and they earned it with a second-half comeback that few would have predicted at halftime.

Trailing the Indianapolis Colts 13–0 on Sunday, October 18, Tennessee rallied to win 26–20 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The result ended the Titans' five-game winless start to 2026 and snapped an 11-game losing streak against AFC South opponents.

It also marked the franchise's 500th victory across regular-season and postseason games and Robert Saleh's first win as Tennessee head coach.

After struggling to move the ball early, the Titans found energy through defense and special teams.

Tennessee recorded six sacks and three takeaways, repeatedly creating opportunities for an offense that finished with just 186 total yards.

Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons contributed two sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery, while safety Amani Hooker registered an interception and a career-high 13 tackles.

The game's most dramatic swing came in the fourth quarter when Julius Chestnut blocked a punt and Oluwafemi Oladejo returned it 14 yards for a touchdown.

It was Tennessee's first touchdown on a blocked punt since 2011.

An earlier 58-yard punt return by Chimere Dike helped set up a touchdown reception by rookie Carnell Tate from quarterback Cam Ward.

Then kicker Joey Slye delivered when it mattered.

Slye connected on field goals from 29, 44, 49 and 56 yards, including the go-ahead 49-yarder with 2:03 remaining.

The Colts had tied the game at 20, but Tennessee responded, added another field goal and secured the final stop.

For a team searching for confidence, the victory offered a reminder that a difficult afternoon can still have a different ending.

Ward completed 11 of 22 passes for 102 yards, one touchdown and one interception, leaving clear room for offensive improvement.

The defense and special teams, however, produced the decisive plays and gave Tennessee reason to believe the team can build on the result.

One win does not erase a 1–5 record, but it gives the Titans a tangible starting point.

Tennessee returns to Nashville to host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, October 25, at noon Central, looking to turn its breakthrough into momentum in front of home fans.
