Middle Tennessee State University is turning a midweek football game into a family Halloween celebration on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The Blue Raiders return to Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro for a 6 p.m. Conference USA matchup, with themed activities designed to bring students, families and community members together.

The promotion is part of the university's Weekday CUSA: Winning Wednesday festivities.

Children ages 12 and under wearing a costume can receive free admission, but families must stop at the game-day box office to claim that offer.

Trick-or-treating will take place on the stadium's upper concourse beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing through the end of the first quarter.

Blue Raider athletic teams, campus partners and sponsors will be stationed around the concourse to distribute candy.

Families can also participate in a costume contest and a poster decorating contest.

Participants should check in at a customer service table before the end of the first quarter; a poster-making station will also be available near Gate 3.

The event includes a community-service element through a food drive with Lee Company and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations, with collection bins at stadium gates.

Students attending the game have additional opportunities to participate in giveaways and competitions.

A limited number of Blue Zoo jerseys will be distributed to early-arriving students while supplies last.

An announced $2,500 Blue Zoo scholarship opportunity has its own eligibility and check-in requirements, and the winner must be present when selected.

Throughout the game, select concession items, including hot dogs, popcorn, candy and soft drinks, will be offered for $2.

For families, the combination of a football game, costumes and community giving offers an alternative to a traditional Halloween party.

Anyone attending should review the university's latest game information for ticket availability, gate policies and promotion details.

The October 28 game gives Rutherford County families an opportunity to support the Blue Raiders while collecting candy and helping local neighbors through the food drive.
