Lebanon Adds Emergency Alerts for Water, Sewer and Sanitation Customers |
New after-hours system connects utility reports with the right response crews |

Residents in Lebanon have a new way to report certain utility emergencies and receive updates when service problems affect their neighborhood.
The city’s Utilities Department has implemented Daupler, an after-hours emergency dispatch and customer-notification system.
The program covers water, sewer, gas and sanitation operations and is intended to connect urgent reports with the proper on-call employees.
Instead of relying on residents to identify the right department during a disruption, the system routes incident information to staff responsible for responding.
It can also send alerts and follow-up instructions to households affected by an outage or interrupted service.
Water and sewer emergencies now use the number 615-466-5002, while sanitation emergencies use 615-466-5008.
The gas emergency number, 615-443-2835, has not changed.
Residents may want to update their saved contacts now, before an unexpected problem makes it harder to locate the right number.
The city has already used the new system during a water-main break, sharing repair updates and guidance as service was restored.
That early use gives utility customers a practical example of how the communication process is expected to work.
Faster information can reduce uncertainty during a disruption, particularly when families need to know whether water service is safe or when normal service may return.
Lebanon officials expect the system to support clearer emergency response as colder weather approaches.
The change does not mean every outage can be resolved immediately, but it should make the reporting and notification process more direct.
For Wilson County residents, saving the correct numbers is the simplest first step. |
