The Grand Ole Opry will combine live music and a charitable mission on Friday, November 6, with two performances celebrating National Adoption Month.

The scheduled lineup includes Carrie Underwood, Steven Curtis Chapman, Bill Anderson, Mark Wills, Colony House and Louis York.

The concerts are set for 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House.

Five dollars from each ticket sold will benefit Show Hope, an adoption-support nonprofit founded by Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth.

The Franklin-based organization works to reduce barriers to adoption and provide assistance to children and families.

For Nashville audiences, the benefit shows offer another example of local musicians using a major stage to support community causes.

Chapman has described the Opry as an important part of his musical life since he was a boy listening on WSM radio.

Now an Opry member, he is helping bring a cause closely connected to his family to that same celebrated stage.

The November concerts are part of a broader effort to recognize the families and children affected by adoption.

Show Hope was founded in 2003 and has supported children and families through adoption-related programs.

The organization's assistance has included Adoption Aid grants to reduce some of the financial barriers faced by adoptive families.

The varied lineup brings together established Opry stars and performers with different musical backgrounds.

Audience members should check the show's official listing for updated performers and remaining ticket options.

Ticket contributions help direct a portion of the night's proceeds toward Show Hope's work rather than simply recognizing the awareness month in name.

For residents looking for a meaningful outing, the November 6 shows connect Nashville's musical identity with a Middle Tennessee charitable organization.

The combination of live entertainment and support for families gives the event a special place on this week's calendar.
