Middle Tennessee has two major summer events on the horizon, one centered on country music history and the other on the nation’s 250th anniversary.

In Nashville, country music legend Alan Jackson is bringing his touring career to a close with “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale” at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, June 27. The stadium’s current event listing shows gates opening at 4 p.m. and the concert starting at 5:30 p.m., though parking information is still listed as to be announced.

The event is being billed as the last full-length concert of Jackson’s touring career, with an all-star lineup of country artists expected to join him. For Nashville, the concert is more than another stadium show — it is a sendoff for one of country music’s most recognizable voices in the city where so much of the genre’s modern story has been written.

Fans heading downtown should plan ahead for a busy stadium-area evening, including parking, rideshare demand, restaurant traffic, and crowds around Nissan Stadium and Lower Broadway. With a major concert of this scale, arriving early and checking stadium updates before leaving home will make the night easier.

Looking ahead to Independence Day, Franklin is also building toward a big civic celebration tied to America’s 250th anniversary. The city’s Fourth of July events include downtown festivities through Franklin on the Fourth, followed by fireworks at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. City and event listings note music, games, food trucks, concessions, and fireworks scheduled around 9 p.m. at Harlinsdale.

Together, the two events give Middle Tennessee residents plenty to plan around: a once-in-a-career country music finale in Nashville and a classic Franklin Fourth of July celebration with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and fireworks. For anyone making summer plans, both are worth marking on the calendar now.
